Product Overview

Achieve real-time, centimetre-level excavation guidance anywhere—even completely off-grid. The X7 1+1 RTK System pairs two high-precision GNSS receivers to establish an independent, local RTK correction network for your excavator.

By broadcasting corrections directly over a dedicated radio link, this setup eliminates the need for cellular data or continuous NTRIP internet connections, making it the ideal solution for remote job sites, forestry, and rural earthworks.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 100% Offline Radio Link: Direct Base-to-Rover RTK correction via UHF radio—no SIM cards, mobile coverage, or continuous NTRIP/LINZ streams needed.
  • Centimetre-Level RTK FIX: Delivers precise real-time positioning straight to your Terrain Pilot guidance system.
  • Quick Field Deployment: Fast pairing between stationary Base and cab-mounted Rover for minimal downtime.
  • Flexible Job Setup: Provides reliable relative positioning for day-to-day bulk earthworks, or ties into surveyed CAD site control marks for high-spec engineering projects.

How the System Works

Component Function
X7 Base Set in a fixed location with a clear sky view to track satellites and broadcast correction data.
Radio Link Transmits RTK corrections directly from Base to machine with zero latency or cellular dependence.
X7 Rover Mounted on the excavator; combines satellite data and base radio corrections to achieve an RTK FIX for Terrain Pilot.

Quick Setup Steps

  1. Set the X7 Base on a stable point with an unobstructed sky view.
  2. Power on and configure the Base for radio transmission (do not move once active).
  3. Set the excavator-mounted X7 Rover to receive base radio corrections.
  4. Wait for the in-cab display to lock onto an RTK FIX and start guided digging.
Important Note on Site Coordinates:
For general excavation, an arbitrary base point provides excellent relative accuracy. If working to surveyed CAD plans or official regional coordinates, establish the Base over a verified site control point before starting.
